Puppet Fair – International Festival of Street and Puppet Theatre 2026 in Sofia

Sofia Puppet Theatre is the organizer of the International Festival for Street and Puppet Theatre PUPPET FAIR. The festival is supported by Sofia Municipality and it is part of the cultural events calendar of the city.
PUPPET FAIR always attracts the attention of the critics and the media. It has become one of the most important events for puppet theatre that takes place in Bulgaria.

Next year we will organize the 14-th "PUPPET FAIR" Festival which will be held from 12-th to 19-th of September 2026.
The Festival is not a competition. Any kind of professional performances: indoor/outdoor, street performances and various types of puppetry shows are welcome!
The festival is always a celebration, as for the organizers and participants, and so for the audience.
Moreover, its 14-th edition will be a double celebration, because then we will also celebrate the 80-th anniversary of the Sofia Puppet Theater.
